Phew! What a Week! New Hope, Wildwood, and.. a New Job!

So much has happened in the past 10 days, between visiting the flea markets and creative town of New Hope, PA and creating sand sculptures with the powdery sand of Wildwood.  While Daimon and I were vacationing, I was called for a second interview at a special needs school and GOT THE JOB! Woohoo! So I'm officially starting my art teaching career on September 3rd. This teacher's already interested in starting an art teaching blog for students to follow. I'll post that link when it's ready.

Here's a few pictures from our trip earlier this week.  Most of pictures at New Hope were taken with an underwater camera and my film camera; both still loaded with film. You'll have to wait for those ;)

We brought candy eyeballs and put them on everything.. even Daimon's diner placemat portrait.

We spent a few hours at the Golden Nugget in Lambertville (Check out this amazing flea market here). It's a wonder we didn't go broke before Wildwood!

We changed into galaxy leggings in the hotel room.

After floating down the Delaware River in a tube and having the best food at a local Brewery, we eventually made our way down to Wildwood to meet up with my family. Daimon had the idea to make a giant foot, which was featured on the Wildwood Tumblr and had nearly 450 likes.

We briefly visited Cape May and saw this horse who also has a similar taste in nail polish.

We celebrated my cousin's belated 21st birthday at Duffers (if you've never been there, you haven't lived). Look at all those delicious cherries! ... A little too much Red 40 for me...

We watched the sun come up on the last day we were there, and went back to the room to sleep. Poor Daimon was so tired and covered in sand he looked shipwrecked. We can't wait to sleep on a good mattress with fluffy pillows!
