Small Business of November

This month's small business goes to an artists' collective in North Jersey; a must see for those who live or are traveling in the area.

The people involved at Freehand recognize the importance of art in today's society.  They created a location that inspires visitors by giving them the space to view all the scultpures, gardens, and functional art. I was very impressed with this unique design for a beebox.

The founder of Freehand Custom Carvings has been sculpting wood for over 18 years, and he has a few apprentices. This sculpter, Sean, is showing off his hand carved pumpkins and bowls for the season.

I know I'm a ham, but there's so much potential in this pile of wood.  s.

I found this little guy hanging out by the beebox.
Walk in here and I bet you'd comment how good it smells.

  • You can check out their galleries on their website and buy supplies (free shipping!) to do your own wood carving.
