Sunday City-date

Daimon and I went to New York with one of our favorite couples to check out an exhibit by Redd Grooms who plays with soft sculpture and paint. He staples foam together to create whole environments that viewers can experience as they move around the gallery space.

The show is titled "Red Grooms: Beware a Wolf in the Alley".  You can check out the review of the show in the New York Times here.
After enjoying lunch at Wild Ginger, we walked around for a bit and ended up in the Evolution store. I hadn't been there in a few years so it was refreshing to see the new posters, skeletons and oddities.  Since I'm working on some embroidery pieces of bugs, it helped to have some real-life references.

Well well.. that's one interesting candle you got there...

 I sooo love this.  Cheers.

Romance at the restaurant.

Any time I'm in the car for longer than 20 minutes, I'm busy working on another doily. I'll post pictures once they're done.
