Rummaging around at the Estate Sales

Never go to an estate sale alone, because you'll have plenty of good conversation for lunch! I made a friend last year who shared in a common interest of thrifting and finding good stuff for cheap. I didn't know she had a twin sister, who also partakes in the thrill of rummaging. The three of us are a haralious  team who talks down prices, and picks up some of the strangest items in a home. And I'll be honest, we've seen some pretty crazy collections and met some really interesting people.

I didn't buy too much today, but I brought home these finds for $11 total. I love the color and details of this Philadelphia whiskey bottle. I couldn't believe it was only $1. I read online that E G Booz bottles are some of the most "desired and pricey bottles in the bottle collecting world"- source here.  But it's also one of the most common reproductions, and I was disappointed to find out it was indeed a reproduction- source here. However, it was made in New Jersey, at Wheaton Arts, so it's still worth something!

I've been having some issues with my favorite film camera, so I thought I'd give this oldie a try. It needs a little dusting and care, but I'll try out a roll of film before Daimon and I leave for our big trip in February. More details about the trip coming soon!
