Winter 2015 on film- first roll with Yashica!

Errands.. mail.. bills..  all the annoying things to take care of before our Florida-New Orleans roadtrip. We're leaving in a few days and we can't wait! New Jersey's been so dreary, snowy, and icy, and my film doesn't lie!  I need to see colors again!

I made a stop to Photocenter in Brick to pick up film for the trip and my first batch of photos from the Yashica camera- my $10 estate sale buy. I really liked the dreamy quality of the pics, so it looks like she will the camera of choice for my carry-on (I think Yashica could be a girl's name, right?)

I spotted big foot! With a film camera!

Over the weekend, my cousin and I shot some film, so I took the yashica to the ominous Overbrook Asylum in Cedar Grove. We weren't able to get inside, but there's always next time. It was FREEEEZING! I really couldn't feel my feet by the time we walked back to the car.

This weekend my camera will be glued to my side.  I think Yashica and I are going to be real good friends.
