Did you know?

The boy and I went to the MET since he had the day off and I was free to leave work at noon.  We wandered into the medieval art section, through the musical instruments, and out through the stained glass area. We also had the BEST dinner at a restaurant we had heard about, Agora. This turkish restaurant had the best grape leaves and okra dish I have ever tasted!

Did you know....

There's an old legend of St. Nicholas who resurrected three murdered boys whose remains were thrown in a bath tub. Yes, THE St. Nick, and there's a lot of art depicting this story. You can read up on it here.

The Met has a work of art that is known to have the tooth of Mary Magdalene. Do you see the tooth in the crystal?

I would probably enjoy wearing this. Did you know helmets could have so much personality?

I'm not sure if I would wear this one...

Did you know the pope was in town?

Did you know that medieval reliquaries could be shaped as heads and the skull of that person would be placed inside?

Did you know that the image of Satan has pretty much remained unchanged since around 1000 AD?
