Board by Board..

If you were to drive onto the Barrier Island, you wouldn't be able to escape the sounds of hammering and construction trucks backing up.  With the promise of Memorial Day approaching, a great deal of work needs to be done without interruption. They've only recently started lifting cars from the Barnegat Bay.

While walking along Point Pleasant's beach, I took a few photos of the progress being made. Point surprisingly has sections of the boardwalk that wasn't claimed by October's hurricane. It's exciting to see the new boards waiting to be hammered in. I'm looking forward to a new boardwalk for the summer.

I hope the next step is cleaning the beach!
