Cutting Through MA

On our commuting day back to New Jersey, we decided to cut through the entire state of Massachusetts to avoid Connecticut and Bronx traffic. The last day of the trip turned out to be the most memorable. We eventually arrived at Bash Bish Falls on the New York border. A large rock, that almost looks impossibly placed, divides the waterfall. Film from the trip is still being developed.

After climbing on rocks and breaking rules about swimming (shhhh), we decided to stop for food in a tiny town near the park called Copake. Their downtown is simply a 50's diner, an auto body shop, a tiny grocery store, a church and a cemetery. There were no cars, and barely any noise, besides the faint sounds of Elvis hits coming from the diner. We decided to stop in the local cemetery and noticed the ENTIRE cemetery was covered in wild thyme. There was not a single blade of grass in sight. It was a challenge to explore without stepping on honey bees, and it smelled incredible.

Daimon and I are already thinking about our next trip, which begins in 3 days. Bone and Marrow and the Homeless Apians are going on tour for a few days. We've been home for 4 days, but we're keeping our bags packed. I can't promise I'll keep my bathing suit dry!
