Colors of Winter

It's been so dreary and grey; it's that time of year you want to just hop a plane and go somewhere colorful. I can't continue writing without showing appreciation for the beauty I have seen the past 2 mornings. The colors of the sunrise have been more intense than ever, and with the blanket of white snow to reflect the reds and yellows, it's like a strange, cold paradise.

I raised the blinds in my classroom as high as I could so the students could be in awe of the amazing icicles right outside the window. It's hard to believe that the majority of them had never pulled off an icicle to eat it. I told them to put a little sugar on it and it'd taste like flavored ice from a carnival ( not that they need anymore sugar!)
