Connecticut on Film: Holy Land USA

Oh man, there's so much to this place I didn't capture on film, partially because we didn't have the proper footwear and a great deal of snow was covering important sections of the park. This abandoned amusement park, inspired by the holy bible, was built in the '70s.  Holy Land USA had a large glowing green cross that the entire town of Waterbury can see since it's at such a high point.

All those footprints in the snow didn't show any signs that the park has been closed to the public for 20 years.

Some strange dead animal was stuck in the gutter in one of the park's abandoned buildings. A squirrel or rabbit maybe? What do you think?

Because it was such a grey day, the photos turned out a little creepy and unsettling. All of these pictures were taken with my Minolta film camera.
