As a new member of the Ocean County Artist Guild, I attended my first tutorial one random Wednesday night and it was definitely worth my time. Carolyn Opderbeck led the class and exhibited some of her own representational work using alcohol inks and yupo paper, a very glossy paper that I had never used before. Since I took the class, I've made a dozen pieces and taught about 20 interest people. This project was a hit at the Harbor House, the shelter where I volunteer.
These works were made with only 3 inks. It's really incredible the range you can get with use a few colors. Since the class, I have about 20 inks to choose from now hehehe.
