To supplement my income, and to pursue a better, happier quality of life, I think it's time to start creating and finding myself in my work once again. It's a little strange for me to get back into sewing and embroidery after Superstorm Sandy, since so much of my product was lost, but I know it's something I miss and need to do again. So I lay "Creative Coop" down to rest, and from this day forth I now operate under a different, more mature name that may (or may not) suggest my experience with my tools.
Do you like the logo? Daimon came up with it for me after I told him the name. That same morning I conceptualized my craft business, I sat on the porch working on some bags to sell. I just started doing consignment at Squan Dry Goods in Point Pleasant and Manasquan, and I couldn't be more excited since the entire store and I share a similar aesthetic. My feline friend sat close by as I worked.
I was able to peel myself away from the studio to take a family portrait with film. I look forward to the phone call, "Hey Jen, your film's ready for pick up!"
