Daimon and I attended the Asbury Park Music Awards last night because we were nominated for the category of "best Asbury Alternative Rock band". It was a night of socializing with old friends and congratulating friends on their nominations. I was speaking with a friend about a possible show date in the spring when someone grabbed my arm and told me to hop on stage. I looked over at Daimon and he was leading the way. Before I knew it, I was standing in front of over a hundred people clapping and yelling. I didn't know until a trophy was put in my hands that we won an award!
We had a productive year, recording our first full length album at AntFarm studio, going on mini tours to New York State, Rhode Island, and Asheville NC. We recorded a song in a cave, and played hopped on stage with Remember Jones throughout the year. And we have a lot to look forward to in 2016.
We are so humbled by this, and that people really listen to what we create. People do care about what we're doing. It's a validating trophy and appreciated gift. We're both so blessed to live in an area where people care about original music.
