Life lately

This time last week was the start of a really strange time, filled with many positive and negative surprises. While poor Daimon sits on the couch in agony with his poison ivy, and I have been trying to be positive about a few unexpected expenses, I also had some really memorable moments I'll never forget! One of which was joining my cousins in surprising my darling grandmother  to a delicious french dinner and tickets to the King and I in New York. I didn't expect one of the actors from Inception to be the King! I kept imagining him as an old man...

I can't stop laughing from all the ridiculous pictures I've been taking with the face swap app. I'm sorry, but my cousin Brendan and I are a little too similar, and it's just plain WEIRD!

Surprise!!

Bone and Marrow had a lot going on too! We just filled out the paperwork to become an LLC! That's right, we're officially a business, and now we can start thinking about promoting our music on amazon, iTunes, and even Pandora if it's accepted after the application process. We played a cd release show for our friends the Homeless Apians, spent a day at the Middletown Arts Center teaching kids about the loop station and kaossilator (they loved it!), and just started recording the new album at AntFarm Studio in Freehold over the weekend.

Here's our dear friend, Jon Francis, who brought some handmade and unusual instruments for children to play with.  Here he is showing off a bow made from a tree branch.

We played music with the kids all day. Even Sun Lab Studio made an appearance.

I also taught 4 pysanky classes this week! It was a pretty smooth week with my groups, with minimal egg casualties.

Aren't these amazing for first-timers?! The girl scouts group blew me away!

Last but not least, I've been exposing my students to Vermeer's work, and even dressed up one day.  Students made their own work of art with a turban and pearl earring.
