2016 is the year of the egg

It's not really the year of the egg... before you know it I'll be picking through alpaca fiber, carding and spinning again. I'll also, most likely, be face painting and working at Insectropolis again, in between riding my bike and swimming in many bodies of water this summer.  I really do love this time of year, and it can be hard to put the dyes away. I'll create pysanky (Ukrainian eggs) all year round, but I'm really devoted to this kind of work in the spring- my average at about 40-50 eggs between January and April. Here's some examples of my work from this year.

My self-similiary goose egg.

I have a few more classes left to teach for the spring season, including the beautiful Chapel of Sacred Mirrors next Friday, Colorest Art Supply store in Redbank, and Camp Evans Art Project room at the end of the month.
