Something blue, something old, and something handmade!

I left the boys at home to go to a bridal shower for one of my high school friends, Liz. Her maid-of-honor, a crafty lady who actually encouraged Daimon and me to go out years ago, decorated the cabin  so beautifully. Colorful papers, lanterns, and string lights adorned the ceiling, and daisies were placed in the many old glass bottles on each table. Look at how beautiful her "shower hat" turned out!

I commissioned my friends and talented watercolor artist, Ashlee Shanahan, to paint geodes and put their initials in the last one.

I made this gift for Liz; did you notice the french knots?

This is not much of a small business spotlight (Although I'd really love to do one on these guys if they can ever be in one place long enough to be photographed!). I just feel this great need to promote this business, Little Spoon Big Spoon.  They travel to many festivals, events, craft fairs, and pop up markets selling their one-of-a-kind soaps. I received a custom soap made just for the bridal shower, and it smells like heaven. Please like their Facebook page and check out their large variety of products, all hand crafted and small batched.

The Asbury Park Press just did a write up on them here.

When I came home, I found a huge mess of felt, hot glue strings, and clippings.... and a puppet head staring at me on a tripod. I'd rather clean myself up with this awesome soap before cleaning our messy home!
