I've been officially teaching art for 3 whole years- specifically art history and media arts. This year my students made costumes, created edible art, worked with 3D and 2D materials, went on trips around the state. We visited the Cherry Blossom Festival in Newark and made tombstone rubbings in several cemeteries. We had 4 visiting artists: a stained glass artist, comic book artist, special FX artist, and a luthier (someone who makes guitars).
I noticed that my hair gets longer and longer in each yearbook picture, and also my expression changes. I didn't have an easy first year (many first year teachers would relate).

I feel like I look more confident and open. I guess it's a sign that I'm maturing as a teacher.
