How do we Rebuild an Economy?

I can't help but think of Margaret Mead's famous statement about social change, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has."

With this in mind, I saw Atomic as a melting pot of artists and artisans, small business owners, local musicians, collectors, appreciators, and the eccentrics.  We helped the store grow in its popularity and  filled Point's void with a sense of culture and the arts.  But sometimes there are things bigger than ourselves. Just like the storm that has recently hit the community which the sturdy Atomic had survived, no force could be stronger than America's economy.

A whole community of people painted his neon pink walls with a snooty, antique eggshell white

I'm concerned that this is only the beginning.  How does the tadpole feel when all the frogs hibernate in the freezing earth with only a hope that a warm sun will bring them back to life months later. The world is getting stranger and more unfamiliar, and I feel like a drowning tadpole watching the job market like a body of water from a distance. I'm so nervous to grow legs at a time like this, but I did see a comforting message in Brick recently.  "Tough times never last, but tough people do."
