I've been posting more these days about places I've visited, but not enough about what I've been making. For a few days now, I've been painting pumpkins of all sizes. It's that time of year again to paint pumpkins for the Pumpkin Express. http://www.pumpkinexpress.org/
Once a week I teach elementary students watercolor painting after school. Usually there's an hour to kill before then, so I indulge myself with an apple cider donut from Delicious Orchards or drive through Thompson Park, in Lincroft. The leaves get more and more red each week.
Daimon brought home 3 rolls of polaroid film, and I nearly fainted I was so excited. Clearly the way to my heart is with precious polaroid film. I'm holding onto that film for a halloween get together, so we can take pictures like the ones in this book: Haunted Air. I unwrapped it last weekend from it's rainbow colored wrapping paper. This photo album reflects what Halloween was like in America in the late 1800s. It's a book I've even shared with my students.
Little Richard was relaxing in my sewing space last week, so I put top hat on his head. What a gentleman.
Lastly, Daimon just finished a new book. Coming soon!
A small group of us are planning a trip to Sleepy Hollow in 2 weeks, and we're really busy for halloween this year with 2 shows! Details coming soon.
