The times (and leaves) are changing

I really enjoyed my 26th year, but I welcome the idea of being 27.  I hope it's a fun and productive year.  The birthday show the other night was a great one; I'll never forget it. I got a hula hoop card, a lovely lady put a flower in my hair and I nearly crowd surfed (although it was unsuccessful haha).

On my birthday, Daimon took me to the Englishtown Auction, and he treated me to some goodies, including a 1990s Keroppi notepad, vintage cookie jar, Ukrainian ceramic coaster, and a set of produce stand ornaments for only a dollar.  Just 6 minutes away we visited a museum I've been very interested in exploring for some time now; The Stone Museum.  The museum looked so amazing according to Weird NJ, not for the stones obviously (What's so weird about that??) but for the strange sculptures, art, and constructed items from found materials. This was Space Farms' strange cousin, which I visited and blogged about a few years ago.

I was not expecting this clown.

The flourscent rock room, colorful tire graveyard, and other strange sights made this birthday a truly memorable one.  I enjoyed spending the rest of the night with the boys watching Netflix, yet another birthday gift from my thoughtful hubby.  While it has made me quite lazy the past few days, I can say I watched nearly every horror movie Netflix offers.  :)
