A resolution starting slowly...

Only a few days ago I posted one of my resolutions was to spend money on the essentials and experiences, not physical things....

Well, I had to buy a few physical things to go with these experiences. Does that count? Don't mind the messy studio; just wanted to share the new Clarks hiking shoes I got from Marshalls. This blogger has never owned hiking shoes. Everywhere I've climbed and walked, my feet were usually in pain from being barefoot, in sandals, water shoes or converse. They were the most comfortable, water resistant, and affordable pair I could find.

These were not essentials, but I recently acquired my dad's torn up jean jacket vest.  Ironing on patches and sticking on buttons is not unfamiliar to me; every purse and backpack I've ever owned usually had some positive statement, band, or artwork stuck on it.  I wanted to share two of the goodies I bought on etsy from Half Stitch Embroidery- https://www.etsy.com/shop/halfstitchembroidery
I purchased them from a small business... did I break my resolution promise with this purchase too?  This resolution was tougher than I expected!
