Goals for 2017

1. Speak more with your actions, less with words.
I want to be more mindful of how I speak, what I say, and imagine how helpful or insightful the words are for the listener.

2. $$ Be a more mindful spender. $$$
I'm already a pretty frugal spender, but I want to try and save even more cash for more experiences. In 2017, I want to spend money on experiences for myself and for others instead of buying myself "simple pleasure" treats all the time, or physical gifts for others. Instead of buying Andrea a Christmas gift, I promised to take her out for a day on the boardwalk and a fantastic memorable lunch. Today I could have spent $20 on a Fodors book on Zion National Park, but talked myself out of it. There are many other free resources, like a phone conversation with a friend or a quick search of a personal blog.

3. Seek out moments of more.
Life is too short to not experience moments of ecstasy. I think this trip to Arizona and Utah will be so exhilarating that I'll want to continue that trend throughout the year. I know what makes me happy; I enjoy groups of people in creative and fun situations and I need to lose myself more in the moment. To not be aware of time, and be in the moment, happy and carefree, is something I'm willing to earn and make more time for.
