First Day at the Elementary School

I started student teaching at an elementary school in Nutley today and was thrown into teaching 3 new lessons without a prep period. So, I decided to teach a lesson on making pinch pots and turning them into Geodes.  You probably won't find this lesson online;  it's a Mustachio original.

Here's some of their Model Magic Geodes. Tomorrow they'll be painting them.

The 3rd and 5th graders loved it! They said they have their own rock collections and will bring some in to show the class. 

In a way, people are a lot like geodes... it's hard to judge a person by their looks;  you have to look a little deeper.
